Concert Excalembour

Obermorschwihr

30/08/2026

Songs inspired by Celtic lands, blending electro-jazz-rock riffs with the surprising soundscapes of both ancient and modern instruments: electro-parquet nyckelharpa, cuckoo, musical sword, carnyx, harmonic flute... Founded in 1996, Excalembour has evolved according to their artistic sensibilities and musical encounters, from Malicorne to contemporary music, delivering an emotional power that blends original compositions with traditional tunes. In 2001, Excalembour recorded “Résurgences,” an album drawing on Celtic, Alsatian, and Quebecois influences. Since then, the group has captivated enthusiastic audiences at numerous festivals, galas, folk dances, and Celtic nights with their magical atmosphere: Grand Est, Italy, Switzerland, Germany... Excalembour is releasing its fifth album this year, titled “Celtic Tact.” This album, recorded live during St. Patrick’s Day 2024 at Le Grillen, brings together the band’s new hits since their last CD, “Hiver Celte,” released in 2015.

Featuring Eric Hueber on piano and flutes; Nicolas Hueber on violin, mandolin, and nyckelharpa; Céline Hueber on vocals and bodhran; Sébastien Mertzweiller on guitar; Stéphane Fuhrer on bass; and Suzon Hueber on harp.
